The Iona Lady Gaels have won their last two games, both impressive wins on the road that ending long losing streaks at the opponent's gyms. First Iona defeated St Peter's 72-57, ending a 24 game road losing streak to St. Peter's dating back to the 1976-77 season. Then the Lady Gaels defeated Fairfield 71-56. Fairfield at the time was undefeated in the conference at 3-0 before their first conference loss. The win ended a 16 game road losing streak to Fairfield. Iona has two home games, Thursday night against defending conference champion Canisius, then home Sunday to Rider before embarking on a two game road trip upstate to Niagara and Canisius.
